Are Energy Drinks the Enemy of Dental Practitioners
By admin
One dental health professional recently commented, “I’ve been practicing for 20 years and there is nothing that will more positively affect the income of dentists in the future than energy drinks.”
In fact, an associate professor at the University of Texas recently found that the prevalence rate of dental erosion among 10 to 14 year olds is 30 percent.
In the November-December 2007 Issue of General Dentistry, a report revealed that high energy and sports drinks are most likely to erode tooth enamel.
The bottom line: Energy and Sports drinks are probably worse for your dental health than soda pop.
